Highland Park-Garvanza Preservation Plan

We are excited to provide a draft of the Highland Park-Garvanza Preservation Plan for your review.  The plan, which covers the vast Highland Park-Garvanza HPOZ (including neighborhoods such as Garvanza, Mt. Angelus and Montecito Heights and Highland Park at large) is the last in our series of 17 new preservation plans.

Highland Park-Garvanza is the City’s largest HPOZ, and though the neighborhood is quintessentially Arts and Crafts, the HPOZ includes a vast array of building styles and types spanning from the Victorian era all the way to the Post WWII building boom.

A public hearing regarding this plan will be held at the Highland Park Senior Center (at the southeast corner of Figueroa and York) on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 7:00 P.M.  There will be an informal open house beginning at the same location at 6:00 P.M.
